My Experience in CMSC2

CMSC2 has the course title description “Introduction to the Internet.”  I thought this course would only tackle about the basics of using the internet, which I already have some familiarity.  As we all know, almost all individuals know how to surf the internet especially because they have an account on facebook, the widely known and used social networking site as of today.  However, I am mistaken.
These days, we are almost done discussing all of the topics that Cmsc2 covers.  Only here in UPLB, I knew about the operating system Ubuntu when I took IT1 last semester.  The features of Ubuntu and Windows were compared more in our CMSC2 laboratory.  Their advantages and disadvantages came to my senses when we were assigned to make a blog about it.  I am now confused if I will rather choose the virus-free Ubuntu of the friendly (for me) Windows.
Speaking of blogs, it is my first time blogging.  I am not particularly fond of expressing myself through writing

or posting blogs.  I would rather eat or listen to music if ever something is troubling me.  I never knew that I

would learn in this course more about HTML, not only its basics but also the different complex tags used to

enhance an HTML.  It was confusing at first, but I got more familiarized with the tags because most of them

are paired.  It was also in CMSC2 where I first made a CSS file.  I am not used to make CSS codes so I’m

not familiar with it.  I do not have account on Tumblr, which uses CSS codes to edit blogs in it.

All in all, it is a fun experience taking up CMSC2.  Especially I'm a BSCS student.  Most of my BSCS friends

did not took a slot for this course, and I'm glad that I have given a spot for it right away.
